got a new router the the  20/40 mhz coexistence box is unchecked. Leave it alone or should it be enabled ?

Having it unchecked goes twice as fast or more.

it has to do with interference.  If all of your devices work with it off, then you are good to go.  I had issues with my wireless router and the XBox 360... a later bios updated added a "xbox 360 compatability" button and I never had any issues after.  Apparently the wireless xbox remotes are in the 2.4 ghz range and were "jamming" my wifi signal.

A microwave oven can also jam your wireless signal.  Put one between you and the router and try to game while you heat up your hot pockets.

Microwaves affect the 2.4 GHz range.  A dead router just means time to go router shopping.
